Ari Daniels didn’t count on her whole world tumbling down around her in a mess of shredded promises, broken love, and unbelievable heartbreak. Alone and stricken with grief, she shouldered the blame and eventually closed her heart off, refusing to open it for another. After all, anytime she tried, guilt and regret were waiting in the wings to remind her how painful it was.
A bet and one steamy night with a stranger force Ari to confront all she’s been hiding behind. She tries to move on, but he refuses to stand down, wanting what she is terrified to give—herself. This man may very well destroy her in the end, especially when it’s clear he has his own demons.
What happens when two broken souls come together, finally allowing themselves to believe in the beauty of love … only to have to fight harder than ever to keep it.

5+ STAR Review by Jodi for Ruby Red Romance Review
I’m not entirely sure where to start with this review. This book is unlike anything I’ve come to know and love from Harper Sloan. This book is completely different. It’s still the amazing love story I’ve come to love, but it’s so much more. It’s slightly darker than what I expected, not that that’s a bad thing at all. I loved this story. I loved everything about Ari and Thorn. These two have chemistry that is off the charts hot. I loved every minute of this amazing book.
Ari, gesh, this heroine knows pain like no other. She’s lost it all and is afraid to allow herself to love again. Thorn comes into Ari’s life at a time when she couldn’t need him more. Girlfriend has issues in spades. I loved her though. When she decides to allow herself happiness it’s amazing to watch. I loved how developed Ari’s character was. She’s smart, well versed, and knows how to let her hair down when she allows herself.
Thorn, I loved this man. He’s an amazing hero. He’s tough, but he knows what he wants. And he wants Ari. Thorn has his reason for being jaded when it comes to love, but he is willing to toss all that for Ari. Thorn is funny, sexy, and exactly what I wanted him to be. I can’t give to much away, but man knows how to move, and move he does.
Unconscious Heart is an amazing book. One if think I needed to help me get over the repetitive books I’ve been reading lately. This book is what I wanted and didn’t know I totally needed. Please check out this great book.
