Struggling pro football wide receiver Derek Ramsey was once Rachel McCormick’s best friend and lover, and now they’re forced together again.

The next day Derek has the best performance of his not-so illustrious career. Soon Derek and Rachel are racking up nights in bed, and the team is racking up wins. Not only is Rachel his coach, but Derek knows the truth behind a secret that destroyed her father years before. They’re risking their careers, but they can’t resist each other.

4 STAR Review by Jodi for Ruby Red Romance Review

I’m a huge Jami Davenport fan, but for some reason, I just didn’t love this book as I wanted. Derek and Rachel were believable and relatable. I just…I don’t know, must have been in a mood when I read this book. I think it hurt my heart to see Derek hurt Rachel. I wanted to love them, but I really just liked them. I know Derek and Rachel from past Jami Davenport stories, so I wanted to know more about them. I did like that they had attraction and chemistry. I didn’t like that we could have done the total girl power thing with Rachel and her job. I feel like Jami missed the boat just a little with that one.

All in all it was a good story. I’m glad to know where these two started and how their love came to be.
