NEW RELEASE and BOOK REVIEW: I’d Rather Not By Lani Lynn Vale

Oakley Spurlock is dying.

She only has weeks to live thanks to a freak infection that totally and completely destroyed her kidneys.

Despite her family’s desperation, not a single one of them is a match.

In a last-ditch attempt, Oakley’s father takes to social media to bed for help to save his daughter’s life.

Pace Vineyard is lost. So lost, in fact, that he’s not sure he wasnts to be found.

But then a beautiful woman’s face is splashed across social media, and Pace finds a spark in his soul for the first time since a bomb went off beside him.

He’s already missing two legs. What’s one more kidney?

At least, that’s what he tells himself.

What he doesn’t expect is to give his heart to the woman, too. Or for the woman to run away with it and force him to follow.

5 STAR Review by Jodi for Ruby Red Romance Review

So, every time I read a book by LLV I think, this is my favorite book of her’s. Then I pick up the next one and I’m like, nope, this is it. Truth be told, LLV has slipped into my top spot of go-to authors. I love all her stories. I feel like when I open each one, I’m catching up with family. I loved this story so much. I loved getting caught up in the journey of Pace and Oakley.

Pace was everything I could have hoped for. Like all of LLV’s male leads, he’s strong and sweet, when it comes to those he loves. He hasn’t had the best life. He’s done things because he had to live. But most of all, he’s overcome so much. His need to help his friend, Ford and his family made my heart soar. I loved watching Pace go from hero to the love of Oakley’s life.

Oakley needs help, she needs a kidney or her young life will be cut short. As a last resort, her dad turns to social media with a plea, help my daughter before it’s too late. My heart hurt for Oakley and her family. She just wants to live a long happy and healthy life, but her body it’s allowing that to happen. When a friend comes into her life offering to save it, she never imagined that it would turn into more. The love Pace and Oakley have it the forever kind. I loved watching these two grow into more. I loved that they fought for it every step of the way. I loved that Pace didn’t care if it was fast, these two had it all.

I loved this story. I can’t wait to see what LLV brings us next. I’m not going to say this was my favorite of all the KPD books, because, well, she’ll probably knock it out of the park with the next one, but I did love this one…a lot!
