This book…I want to start by saying I’m new to Kenzie Reed. I loved this story from the very beginning to the end.
Chase is a horrible boss. The kind you want to do bad, bad things too. Chase is mean, rude, and the kind of boss you never want. This man makes the worse boss look like a saint. Daisy, I don’t know why she puts up with Chase, let alone allowing Chase to pretend to be more. Daisy needs a distraction from what’s to come. She’s headed home for the wedding of her ex. But now Chase is telling everyone that he’s her boyfriend. Daisy is thrown a little off-kilter with that. The banter between Chase and Daisy is great. The longer they interact the more confused Daisy becomes. And the more she wants what might be.
I loved every minute of Daisy and Chase. I loved seeing them go back to Bitter End. I love how small-town life gives everyone the impression they can know your business. They seem to take extra care with the gossip when it comes to Daisy. I love Daisy and the person she is. But I love the person Chase was when it comes to Daisy. I love how he wasn’t afraid to go out and show her how she should be treated.
I loved the book from start to finish. I can’t wait to read more from Kenzie Reed.
