“Bishop and Stevie’s relationship is pure, raw, can’t-take-your-eyes-off-the-the-page kindle crack. One of my favorite books by this brilliant author.” – LJ Shen, USA Today bestselling author

A Favor for a Favor, all-new standalone slow burn romance from New York Times bestselling author Helena Hunting, is available now!

A Favor for a Favor, cover

A new stand-alone romance about trading favors, battling wills, and winning love.

When I joined Seattle’s NHL expansion team, I thought it was the start of something great. But nothing ever goes the way you expect. Take my introduction to my new neighbor. She came rolling in on the hot mess express at midnight, making a racket while she tried to get into my team captain’s apartment. Did I mention that he’s married to a woman who definitely was not her?

Imagine my surprise when I end up with an injury that has me out of the game for weeks, and she’s the one to offer to help me. I should probably add that she’s not the captain’s mistress. She’s his sexy, pastel-haired younger sister.

So we come up with an arrangement: she rehabs me so that I can get back on the ice sooner, and she can add a professional athlete that isn’t her brother to her client list. Seems simple enough. As long as I can keep my hands to myself and my hormones in check.

AFFAF - Teaser 1 AN

She makes me lift my arm and drapes it over her shoulder. She’s incredibly small compared to me. She tucks one arm under my knee and gently grips the back of my calf with the other. “On the count of three,” she orders. I tense up when she hits three. She gets my leg about six inches off the floor, which is when I scream bloody murder again and grab on to her with both hands. “Okay. That’s not going to work. The angle is too awkward.” She taps her lip and holds her finger up. “I have an idea.” She ducks out from under my arm and hooks her fingers in the waistband of her yoga pants. “What the hell are you doing?” “Calm down. Some bathing suits have less coverage than my underwear. Besides, it’s nothing you haven’t seen before.” She kicks off her yoga pants, leaving her in a T-shirt and panties. They’re plain cotton boy shorts, which should be a good thing, but apparently my body doesn’t care that it’s not a satin or lace thong. All it cares about is the proximity of almost-naked pussy. Rook’s sister is standing in my bathroom in her underwear. If I had a sister who looked like Stevie and I knew that she was standing in one of my teammate’s bathrooms half-naked, I would probably kick the shit out of the guy. Thankfully, I have a brother. I try to keep my eyes averted, sort of, but I catch her reflection in the vanity mirror. She has fantastic legs. Athletic. Strong. And her ass. Goddamn. She definitely does a lot of squats, based on how round and firm it looks. The ache in my groin turns into that stabbing pain again because I’m getting hard. I think about my grandmother in a bathing suit to counteract the effect of Stevie being partly undressed. She steps into the tub, and I force myself to keep my eyes down, bringing up the image of that hot chick in the tub who turns into a rotting old lady in The Shining. That helps a bit. At least until Stevie moves into my personal space and starts touching me again. I mutter a string of profanity, especially when I feel her boob pressed against my arm for a few seconds. I have no choice but to latch on to her shoulder as we lift my leg over the edge of the tub. I’m sweating, I’m angry, and I hate my dick. “I need you to stop touching me!” It’s stupid because I’m still holding on to her, not the other way around. “Why are you yelling at me?” she shouts back. “Because you’re half-undressed in my tub, and I’m a guy, and apparently my dick is a fucking sadist. It honestly feels like my balls are on fire right now. A semi has never] been this painful.” “Well, close your damn eyes and think about dead things.” “It doesn’t matter if I close them. The image of you in panties is burned into the back of my lids, probably for the rest of my fucking life. It’s all I can see.” “You’d think you’d never seen a set of bare legs before.” She helps me lower myself into the tub and steps out. “It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a pair up close,” I grumble. “Such a surprise, with your warm, fuzzy personality.”

I loved every minute of this amazing story. It felt like coming home with Alex and Violet. We don’t get a ton with them, but it was AMAZING.

This is Bishop and Stevie’s story. Stevie has lived in the shadow of her brother for as long as she can remember. She’s never had her own way. She’s always followed Rook. It’s hard to find your own way when this is the case. Now she has a career she loves, but it’s a new city that has left her wanting more. When coming into town on her birthday only to get a surprise she didn’t want, Stevie has to deal with her ex more than she ever wanted.

Bishop is in the prime of his career. He’s left the team he loved to go to an expansion team. His hope was to be the one, but when he is overlooked for what he wants, he wonders if he made the wrong choice. Bishop is broody and gruff. But in all honesty, it might be an act. He really is a good guy, or he wants to be. He has to learn to move forward and look for the good, especially when an injury sidelines him at the start of the season.

I love watching these two figure it out. I love watching them fall. I loved their hilarious interaction. Watching them learn to overcome life is the best. I loved getting lost in this amazing story. I loved falling for these two. I can’t wait for more from Helena and this series.

Blog Tour Teaser.jpg

“I think I may come here every night.”

“Be my guest,” Dane said, looking away as if he were bored; when in reality, his heart was racing.

Frederick would crack. His shirt was open now, his eyes closed. The habit would continue as it always did. Wouldn’t it?

He would self-destruct.

All men eventually did when it came to Dane.

The ones who didn’t, well… they weren’t alive to say otherwise, now, were they?

“Have fun.” Dane stood, patted Frederick on the back, and shared a knowing look with the woman currently straddling the man’s lap. “Make it worth his while but remember our rules.”

Dane shoved the guilt aside as he walked off.

The guilt of what this would do to Everlee.

Then again, Everlee didn’t know what he did.

She didn’t know the secrets Frederick kept.

That he wasn’t who she thought he was.

Then again, nobody really did.

Only Dane.

Because he’d collected everything he could on Frederick for a year and was less than impressed by the sort of man he was.

“Interesting club,” Ronan said once Dane reached the bar. He was flanked by two bodyguards.

“They aren’t necessary,” Dane said in an unemotional voice, pointing to the security. “No weapons allowed, no fighting, only pleasure.”

“And yet, here you are, talking to me.” Ronan leveled him with a glare. “What do you want, Dane?”

“Is that how you speak to an old friend?”

Ronan let out a snort. “We’ve never been friends. We’ve only tolerated each other because of the girls.”

The girls.

It was how they all referred to Brittany, Everlee, Zoe and Danica. Pain sliced through Dane’s heart, he couldn’t even say her name in his head without feeling it everywhere, all the way down to the marrow.

Shake it off.

They were women now.

Women with secrets.

Girls who’d grown up too fast.

Females who were still fighting their way through the jungle of New York, barefoot and bleeding with fake smiles and deadly secrets.

“I need you to keep him in jail,” Dane said under his breath. “They say he’s getting out on good behavior.”

Ronan muttered a curse. “Let me guess, you want me to go have a golf game with the DA?”

“If you think that would help.” Dane tilted his head and narrowed his eyes on the politician, the man he used to trust as much as everyone else before Dane’s world came crumbling down around him by way of his sister’s death. “Then, yes.”

“Fine. This makes us even.” Ronan tried to walk off, but Dane grabbed him by the elbow and held him there, whispering in a low voice, “I will never be done with you… tell the former first lady hello. I loved what she was wearing while shopping on Fifth Avenue yesterday, the white made her look so innocent.”

Ronan let out a filthy curse and walked off.

And Dane?

Dane stared out across the club as a feeling of calmness washed over him. Chess pieces had been moved.

Now, he would wait.

5 STAR Review

I was so excited to read this book. The thought of a story that takes place in the fashion world sounded beyond amazing. This story was a total rollercoaster of emotion from start to finish. For me, this story had it all. It’s love. It’s mystery. It’s about women. I loved getting lost in a story that made me want to find out more about fashion. But then there were times I was like…no, I’m good. Just kidding.

I loved how seamlessly this story flowed. Kathy and Rachel did an amazing job. I honestly couldn’t tell where the one ended and the other started. That’s important for me when I read collaboration books. If I can tell, then I’m less likely to finish the book. I had no problem with that with Fashion Jungle.

This story is compelling and raw. You find that what you once thought would be a dream job and life really isn’t. This book was fun to read. Fashion Jungle is the book I didn’t know I needed to read, but it made me fall in love. I hope to see these two amazing women write another book together. This book was fun to read and I hope you will check it out.

He jerks his thumb at his mansion. “Don’t you want a tour?” “Of Hearst Castle? No, thanks.” His expression tells me how incomprehensible that is. “Everyone always wants a tour. Always.” “I mean, it’s a very nice place, I’m sure.” Now he looks insulted. He turns to stare at the house, then turns back to me. “Nice?” “Please don’t take it personally. I’m not trying to start World War III here. A house like that just isn’t my thing.” “Your thing?” “Will you stop repeating everything I say?” “It’s just that I’m having trouble with the fact that you don’t like my house. Everybody likes it. Everybody. Especially women.” I sign in exasperation. “Oh, for goodness’ sake, Mason, I could give a flying fig what everyone else thinks. I’ll take my cozy little cottage over this place any day.” But why?” I fold my arms across my chest and turn my torso toward him. “Why are you so upset that I don’t like it when you don’t like it, either?” He shouts, “I never said I didn’t like it!” “You didn’t have to. The closer we got to it, the more you constipated you looked.” “That’s just my face!” “Baloney. You hate your house. Admit it.” Wild-eyed and wound up, he stares at me for a long, silent moment. Then he exhales in a huge gust and drops his head into his hands. He says miserably, “I totally hate it. It’s awful, isn’t it?” I pat his shoulder. “It’s beautiful, elegant, and absolutely ridiculous. Have you thought about asking the state legislature if they need new headquarters?” He moans into his hands. “I don’t even have any furniture except a bed. You should hear how bad it echoes in there. And everything is marble, so it’s always freezing cold. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and think I’m sleeping in a mausoleum!” I can’t help myself. I start laughing again. He lifts his head and glares at me. “It’s not funny!” “It’s so funny I can’t stand it.” “Do you have any idea what I paid for this place?” “Your gargantuan mausoleum?” I squint at it through the window. “I dunno. Bazillions?” “Exactly! Bazillions!” “I’m no financial whiz, Sparky, but I think they saw you coming.” When he groans and drops his head against the headrest, closing his eyes, I try to reassure him. “I’m sure there’s some oil baron with twelve ex-wives and a hundred kids who’d love to move into it. With all the members of his country club. And their housekeeping staff.” Mason opens his eyes and glares at me. I try to stifle another laugh, but fail. “And the entire population of Portugal.” “Ha ha.” “Oh, lighten up. It’s not like you can’t sell it.” Sounding panicked, he says, “But where would I live?” “You say that like there are zero options between here and a cardboard box.” “Name one.” “There’s a house for sale at the end of my block.” That astonishes him so much it leaves him speechless. “You’re right,” I say solemnly. “It’s only a three-bedroom. There’s not enough space for both you and your ego.” He looks away. “I’m just surprised you’d want me living on the same street as you.” “Are you kidding? Imagine how much fun we could have screaming obscenities at each other over the backyard fences. The neighbors would love it.” When he glances back at me and sees me smiling, he smiles, too. “Yeah, especially when they hear your PG version of cursing. ‘Dingwaddle’ this and ‘flying fig’ that. They won’t even know what language we’re speaking.” We smile at each other so long it starts to get uncomfortable. I look away, patting my hair to make sure no stray strands have escaped from my bun. After a rough throat clearing, Mason says, “I guess I’ll go in, then.” “Okay. Goodnight. And thanks again for dinner. I love that place.” When he doesn’t respond, I glance over at him. He’s staring back at me with the same warm look that flustered me at the restaurant. “You’re welcome, Pink. Anytime.” “So I’ll send you all the information on Stephanie as soon as I vet her file. Okay?” “Sure. Looking forward to it.” An awkward silence follows. Finally, Mason breaks it by saying, “Sweet dreams.” He opens the door and starts to get out. “Wait.” He turns to me, his hand on the door and a question in his eyes. “I, um, I need to say something.” He groans. “You’re killing me, you know that?” “No, this isn’t anything about you. You haven’t done anything wrong. This is about me.” Eyes alight, he settles back into his seat. “This should be interesting.” I search his face before I speak, because I want to be sure I don’t miss any change in his expression. “I’m sorry for teasing you about your ego. It’s not nice. And I don’t want you to think that I think there’s anything wrong with you, because I don’t.” His face goes through several different emotions before it settles on something I can’t identify. It’s part pain and part pleasure, with a whole lot of ambivalence thrown in. He says softly, “I know you don’t think there’s anything wrong with me. Which is what makes me assume your parents must’ve dropped you on your head a lot when you were a baby.” “Oh, for crying out loud. I’m trying to apologize here!” He grins. “You did. I heard you. And you don’t have to do it again, because I like it when you give me shit.” When I quirk my lips, he amends quickly, “The business. I meant I like it when you give me the business. Nobody else mouths off to me the way you do.” “Good to know,” I say, smiling. “Now that I know you like it, the gloves will come off, pal, so you better watch out.” “I can hardly wait.” We sit there grinning at each other, until Mason says, “Get outta here. I’ll talk to you next week.” “Aye-aye, Captain.” Then it all falls apart in slow motion. I don’t know what makes me do it. I honestly don’t. One minute we’re smiling and saying goodbye, the next minute I’m impulsively leaning over to give him a kiss on the cheek. Only he’s turning his head, so my target moves. Where his cheek was supposed to be, suddenly his lips are there instead. His warm, soft, beautiful lips, which part when they meet mine. Joyce42About J.T. Geissinger J.T. 5 STAR Review

Oh, mercy. I loved everything about this amazing story. I loved falling in love with Mason and Madison. J.T. Geissinger did an amazing job telling this adorable, swoon-worthy story.

Madison is everything I wanted and so much more. I love how she believes in forever. I love how she loves love. She’s sweet, kind, and good. Taking on Mason makes her regret her decision, but not for long. Mason is a jerk. Let’s be honest. I want to say that he’s misunderstood, but the truth is he’s not. The longer Mason and Madison spend time together, the more Madison gets to see the man Mason really is. He has an ego, but he can. He can have the ego because he’s great at what he does.

It was great watching these two come together. It was great having a little help from a couple of friends. I loved this story. I loved watching Mason and Madison fall. I can’t wait for J.T. Geissinger’s next book.

About Kristen:

Kristen was born and raised in a small resort town in her beloved Montana. In her mid-twenties, she decided to stretch her wings and move to the Pacific Northwest, where she made her home for more than a dozen years.

During that time, Kristen wrote many romance novels and joined organizations such as RWA and other small writing groups. She spent countless hours in workshops, and more mornings than she can count up before dawn so she could write before going to work. She submitted many manuscripts to agents and editors alike, but was always told no. In the summer of 2012, the self-publishing scene was new and thriving, and Kristen had one goal: to publish just one book. It was something she longed to cross off of her bucket list.

Not only did she publish one book, she’s since published close to thirty titles, many of which have hit the USA Today, New York Times and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists. She continues to self publish, best known for her With Me In Seattle and Boudreaux series, and is also proud to work with William Morrow, a division of HarperCollins, with the Fusion Series.

5 STAR Review

This book is everything I’ve come to love from Kristen Proby. This story is well developed with strong characters.

Anastasia is a cake creator. Her creations are works of art. When she meets Kane, who works as a glassblower. Once Anastasia sees the beautiful glass and what Kane can do with it, she finds inspiration in art.

I love everything about the Montgomery’s. I love how easy everything is with these two. I love Kane and how he looks out for Anastasia. I love how their relationship feels real.

I love the merger of these two amazing families. I can’t wait to see what’s to come in the future. I loved everything about this book. I loved going to what feels like home. The Montgomery’s were one of the first families I ever read. I devoured these books and am so honored to have had the chance to read this one.

5+ STAR Review

This book, this series, this whole journey was just that for me. I’ve never been so absorbed by a story that I literally could not put the book down. Let me start with this…when this book popped up on my kindle the first thing I did was go back and re-read the first two books. Then I felt like I could fully wrap my head around everything that was sent to happen in this last book.

I don’t want to give anything away. What I will say is that I love the man that Legend becomes in this book. It’s the man I think we all knew he could be, but sometimes you just hope and pray you will get the see that person. Meghan doesn’t disappoint at all with this. I loved getting to see how Scarlett was able to break down every single one of Legend’s carefully constructed walls.

I love Scarlett. I love who she is and her strength. But I was hoping we would get to see her gain something more. Boy did she. I feel like while book 2 was Scarlett’s story, this book made her. It made me love her and want to see her fight for what she deserves in life. I love how hard she works on herself and learning to love and move forward in this book. I feel like this book was really one of self-discovery for both Legend and Scarlett.

This story was everything I wanted and so much more. I seriously love Meghan March and have since I had the pleasure of reading her very first book. Each and every one of these books is better than the last and I can’t wait to get the next one in my hands. I love Legend and Scarlett. I may venture to say that they are my favorite of Meghan’s couples, but the truth is I say that at the end of each of her stories. Please check out this amazing Trilogy. I promise you will not be disappointed.

She’s equally gorgeous when she’s saving his butt. Because now things just got serious. A baby has been, literally, dropped off on his doorstep and to say he’s in over his head is an understatement. Not that Harper knows anything about babies either. But at least they now have something in common.

Harper reached out to lift the baby off of James, but just as her hand touched his back, James stirred. She froze. “Professor?” His voice was husky from sleep, low and gravelly, and Harper’s belly flipped, heat sliding from her stomach lower, between her legs. They were in his bedroom. One of them was in bed. And that voice. And the nickname. She could hardly be blamed for her reaction. “Hey,” she said softly. “You okay?” It was the middle of the night, and he was the one asleep with the thing that had just turned his life upside down, but he was asking about her? She never came to him with needs. He came to her. She nodded. “I thought I’d take him so you could get more comfortable.” He looked down at the baby, and seemingly instinctively, his hand slid from the baby’s butt to his back. James’s hand was huge on the tiny baby, and Harper swallowed hard at the sweet picture. “He’s okay.” “You sure? I don’t mind.” He looked up at her. He was clearly still sleepy, maybe not fully awake. “You wanna help?” he asked. She nodded. “Yeah.” She felt terrible for leaving earlier. It had gone against every instinct except the one that screamed at her to protect her heart no matter the cost. But she was afraid she was far past the point of that being possible. “Then come here.” Harper wet her lips. “Come… there?” “Yeah.” He reached for her with his free hand and caught her around the wrist, tugging her forward. She could have easily pulled back, broken free, resisted. But she let him urge her onto the mattress. Harper knelt with a knee next to his hip. “How does this help?” “Gets you up against me,” he said, his voice still sleep roughened. Her heart skittered. “That’s helpful?” “Can’t imagine how it will hurt.” He gave her a sleepy, but still devastatingly sexy smile. “This way you’re here if he does need something.” Well, he had a point. Harper stretched out on the mattress beside James. He put his arm up above his head again, not holding her, but definitely exposing plenty of surface area for her to be up against. Oh, what the hell. She wouldn’t sleep well at her place now, wondering what was going on over here. This way she was very much here for whatever went on. And she’d wanted to be up against him for a few months now. Lord only knew what the next few days were going to bring with the baby and everything. She might as well enjoy this moment while she had it. She scooted closer. His body was hot and hard. She swallowed with some difficulty. Then the baby made a little grunting sound and curled and stretched against James. This was so not how she’d ever pictured being in bed with James Reynaud. That was for sure. author-photo-1-air-232x300.jpgAbout Erin Nicholas

5 STAR Review

I have loved this series since the very first book. I love Harper and James. They are truly an awesome couple. I love the challenges that face this couple. I love how hard these two fight for what they want and what is right. There are a few twists in the story, but I was so glad when things worked out just the way they were intended.

I love Erin Nicholas and her stories. I love her characters. I love their relationships. I love how we get to spend time with each couple, even though they each have their own book. I can’t want to see what Erin brings us next. If it’s anything like this amazing series, I’ll be sure to have my tissues ready.

What happens when a crime report moves to a small town? You start a podcast with your bestie. I enjoyed how funny Hollis is. I loved the mystery behind this story. I loved getting lost in the drama. Just when you think things are going to slow, they don’t.

I’m new Jennifer Brown. I’m enjoyed every minute of this book. It reminded me of a crime podcast I love listening to. I loved how these two worked together. I loved the cast of characters in this book. I loved getting lost in the story while trying to figure out who did it. I enjoyed this book and am honored to have had the chance to read it.

Scarlett didn’t know where her sudden burst of courage came from, but she wasn’t about to turn away now. Not when she had the sexiest man she’d ever laid eyes on ready to take her to bed. Her body trembled with desire and an awareness that something special was about to happen between them. Especially with the way Tanner’s eyes darkened at her bold, certain words of reassurance.

Grasping her hand, he led her back into the main room and to the elevator he’d walked out of earlier. He hit a button and the doors slid open. No sooner were they enclosed in the small area than she found herself surrounded by the sensual scent of his masculine cologne and by the man himself.

He hit the floor number, then backed her against the wall and braced his hips against hers. The hardness of his erection pressed into her sex, and she moaned at the anticipation of what was to come, her underwear growing damp with arousal.

“Make no mistake. You might have been the one to convince me but I’m taking control now.”

No man in her past ever spoke to her in such a self-assured, dominant way. To her surprise, she liked it. Hell, her perky nipples were proof of that, and he was looking down at the evidence with dilated pupils. Before she could respond, the elevator dinged and the doors slid open.

Holding her hand once more, he led her down a short hall and unlocked the sole door. She stepped into the apartment, which was smaller than she’d anticipated, realizing immediately he didn’t live here. There were no personal effects anywhere on the shelves, and the steel and white décor gave a sterile feeling to the place.

The door shut behind them.

“We share the apartment, my partners and I,” he said, as if reading her mind. “Whoever has the night shift uses it if they don’t feel like going home late. Although since Jason got married, it’s just me and Landon.”

She looked around once more. “It’s beautiful. Just very empty,” she murmured.

He shrugged, sliding his jacket off his broad shoulders. “It serves a purpose.”

“Do you bring many women up here?” he asked, unable to withhold her curiosity. After all, he was a hot guy with easy access to a bed above where he worked.

His sharp gaze slid to hers. “None. At least not anymore.” He hesitated before going on. “I admit when we first opened the club, the women throwing themselves at me were a novelty that I indulged, but after a while, they all seemed to have an agenda.”

“Such as?” she asked.

“They assumed because I owned the club I had money, and they wanted to be the woman on my arm permanently.”

His voice turned bitter and she didn’t blame him. “You don’t have to worry about that with me. My job and my life are too full to want anything more than one night.”

A sinful smile curved his lips. “So I’m your birthday present?”

She nodded. “And I can’t wait to unwrap you.”

5 STAR Review

I was so excited for book two. I couldn’t wait to see what Carly Phillips had in store, but I can’t believe what she brought to the table. I was so excited to see what Tanner had going for him, but I’m not sure I was quite ready for all he was.

Tanner is the man who is learning how to deal with things. His past made him who he is. His demons haunt him and he’s learning to deal with his anger. I loved how strong he really was. Scarlett is amazing. She’s strong and not afraid to go after what she wants. She’s the ADA who never lets a criminal walk. I loved watching these two fall. The chemistry was instant, which I think I loved more than anything.

I can’t wait to see what’s Carly has next for us. I’ve fallen head over heels for these three friends. It’s been amazing to see each man find the person he was meant to be with.

All I am a British author, from the depths of the rural countryside near London. In a previous life, I was an accountant from the age of twenty-one. I still do that on occasions, but most of my life is now spent intermingling writing while looking after my husband, two children and two cats (probably in the inverse order to the one listed!). When I have some spare time, I can also be found writing poetry, baking cakes (and eating them), or behind a camera snapping like a mad paparazzi.
I’m an avid reader who turned to writing to combat my depression and anxiety. I have a love of travelling and like to bring this to my stories to give them the air of reality. I like my heroes hot and hunky with a dirty mouth, my heroines demure but with spunk, and my books full of dramatic suspense.

5 STAR Review

I love a good PNR romance. It takes an amazing PNR book to keep my attention. Anna Edwards does that for me. I know when I get the opportunity to read any of her amazing books, I jump. I have fallen in love with this series since the very start. Just when I think the Glacial Blood series couldn’t get any better, Anna proves me wrong.

Jackson and Katia have been two characters I wanted to know more about from the very start. Anna didn’t let me down for sure. These two have a past, but now we wonder if they will have a future. Katia is great. She’s a force when needed. Jackson has a view on things that don’t add up. But together, they could find a way to make things work.

These stories are quick reads, that pack a mighty punch. Each book leads to the next. You don’t have to read all of them, but it makes more sense if you do. I can’t wait to see what’s to come.

A few moments pass, and I consider going back inside. But I can’t bring myself to do it. All day we’ve been surrounded by people, and now that it is just the two of us, I want to wallow in the pleasure of having claimed this man. I want to watch him rounding the side of the house. I want to see the possessiveness with which he approaches it, knowing full well that he owns the property, the house, and everything inside it.

Including me.

I want to see the heat that will flare in his eyes when he sees that I’m waiting for him, and I want to feel the brush of his lips on mine when he kisses me.

I want it—and Damien doesn’t disappoint.

The moment I see him, I feel the breath catch in my throat, his impact upon me no less intense after having been married now for years. He walks with a casual confidence, his body straight and strong, his chin high. He radiates power and control, but at the same time there is an easiness to him. A weekend quality that suggests that even though he can command a board room, he is equally skilled on a tennis court or the ski slopes.

Or in a bedroom.

I shiver, thinking about his particular skills in that area, and when his eyes meet mine and he flashes that slow, easy smile, I’m certain he knows exactly what I’m thinking.

“Why, Mrs. Stark,” he says, sliding one hand around my waist and pulling me to him. “You look like a woman with something on your mind.”

“I am,” I admit. I’m breathless now, my skin tingling in response to his touch.

“Whatever could you be thinking about?”

“You,” I admit, then rise onto my toes to meet his mouth. The kiss is deep, claiming, and I melt against him, more than willing to surrender to his touch.

I want to simply let go. To lose myself and the rest of this afternoon in his arms.

Damien and Nikki are probably two of my most favorite characters ever written. I love every second of these two. From the very beginning, I’ve devoured anything Stark related. J. Kenner does it again and makes my heart so happy with this amazing book.

I loved everything about this story. It made my heart so happy. If you love Damien and Nikki as much as I do, then you have to read this amazing story. I promise it will make your day.

Thank you, J. Kenner, for giving me more of these two that I love so much. I hope this keeps up!
