2020 Ideas and Updates

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year. As this year comes to an end I can honestly say, I’m praying 2020 is so much better. I haven’t been as on top of things. I didn’t post here, but I did on Facebook and Instagram, my mom passed away unexpectedly a couple of weeks ago. I’m still trying to find my new normal and the last couple of weeks have been hard. That is why you haven’t seen things being posted until later or reviews being added late. For that I apologize to my followers, the PR companies, and most of all the authors. I’m working diligently to get things caught up and back on track. I appreciate the love and support during this time. Please continue to follow.

In the meantime, I’m working on ways to streamline things going forward. As my blog has grown, so have the review requests. I try to accommodate as many as possible, but I’m only one person. I love my blog and I’m not one to ask for help often, plus I have a hard time giving up control. So, in 2020, I will probably cut back on the number of books I review. In the month of November I read and reviewed 25 books. So far for the year I have averaged 30 books a month. At this point I have read a total of 334 with more to come before the end of the year.

My goal last year was to cut back, but I didn’t do that. This year, I will be. My hope in doing this is to engage more with my followers. I’m doing more on Facebook and Instagram, so if you’re not following there you need to. I’m working on getting my PA services established and up and running. I would like to start working on helping new authors gain a positive and professional social media presence. These are my goals moving forward and I hope with more free time I can achieve this.

I’m excited about what the future holds not only for Ruby Red Romance Review but for me as well. To do so, I’m working on establishing a better for posts. Something I’ve always tried to do, but never seems to work out. So here, moving forward is what I’m looking at. All times are in EST.

The 8 am hour will be devoted to things I have signed up to promote or review. Some Authors and PR companies have times established after 8 am, so those will be marked accordingly. I want you all to have access to the books and authors I feel you need to read. This will include book reviews, teasers, cover reveals, etc.

The 9 am hour will be devoted to things I’m sent from PR companies master lists. These may be items that I haven’t necessarily signed up to review, but I feel they are a good fit for my followers.

The 10 am hour is anything that needs carried over from either 8 am or 9 am. Most of my posts are done in the morning, be the PR companies request, but there are times you may see a random post here or there.

I can’t thank you all enough for your continued support. I ask that you please continue to follow here, but look for updates on Facebook at or Instagram at

Have a wonderful holiday season!
