“Just friends” is all Brooke and Dylan have ever been.
(Except for that one night in high school, but they don’t talk about
that.) Growing up, he was her protector. Her confidante. The one guy
she could always trust.
Now she’s a marine biologist working toward her PhD in California, and he’s an
underwear model in New York. Dylan’s only in town for a few days, crashing
on Brooke’s couch and repaying the favor by acting as her date to a
It was totally an accident she saw him naked.
After that, “just friends” goes out the window in favor of friends with benefits.
It’s all going great…until it isn’t.
Dylan’s got a ticket back to New York at the end of the week, and Brooke may
have accidentally broken his heart. Can they navigate these uncharted
relationship waters? Or has she tanked her oldest friendship?
His ass cheeks flexed as he stooped over his suitcase, and
hisheard herself gasp, and Dylan spun around, giving her the full-frontal
There wasn’t a lot of light in the room, but there was enough.

For a second they both stood there frozen in shock. Brooke

“Shit!” he yelped, belatedly trying to cover himself with the pair of
underwear in his hand. “I thought you were asleep!”
Brooke covered her eyes and turned her back on him. “I thought you were in
“I was letting the room fill up with steam to sweat off a little more
water weight, but I forgot to grab clean underwear.”
Brooke swallowed, trying to ignore the image of Dylan’s penis that was now
permanently seared into her brain. “Okay. Cool. Well…uh…looks
like you’ve got them now.”
“Yeah. So. I’m gonna go back into the bathroom.”
Keeping her eyes directed at the floor and her hand up to shield Dylan’s
still incredibly naked body from her view, Brooke moved aside so
he could get past her to the bathroom. “Cool. Yep. I’m just gonna go…”
She waved in the direction of the kitchen with the hand that wasn’t
covering her eyes. “Make some coffee or whatever.”
“Cool.” Why was she saying cool so much? Nothing about this was cool! It
was the opposite of cool. It was…
Except no. It was Dylan, and she did not want to think about him
like that. Okay, she wanted to, but she shouldn’t.

Learning Curves is a single dad, enemies to lovers, curvy girl rom-com with a teacher that everyone wished they had in school, and a swoon-worthy dad that would do anything for his daughter. Throw in an over-eating dog and watch what happens next.
To Spencer Hurley, women only left pain and destruction in their wake. The only good thing that came from his disaster of an ex was his daughter, Annabelle. Right now, making sure Belle was taken care of and getting her the help she needed with her learning disabilities was his only focus. And if that meant moving to a new town, consider the moving truck rented and packed.
Ellie Ryan spent her childhood being judged and bullied because of her learning disabilities. Jokes on them, though, she was now the top special education teacher in her district. See, Ellie totally had her life together. Kind of. Maybe… Okay, really, she’s a word-vomiting, curvy, hot-mess, who hasn’t had a date in who knows how long. And then there was Roxy, her rude over-eating dog. Nevertheless, Ellie was fiercely protective of her students. She’d gladly rip out the throat of anyone that dared to mess with her kids. Including their parents.
So, please explain to Ellie why, even after calling her new student’s father out during a disastrous parent-teacher meeting, Ellie couldn’t help being insanely attracted to the gruff single dad? Somebody, please help her. Besides, nothing good could come from it… right?
YO! Hey, thanks for coming to my about me to check me out! Has anyone told you, you’re beautiful and amazing lately? Just in case they haven’t, I am!
So you want to know a little more about me? Well okay then. Much like any author out there, sleeping doesn’t come easily to me. As it turns out, I’ve got horrible insomnia. Like, scary horrible. Anyway, when I was younger, to help myself fall asleep I’d tell myself stories. Each night I’d pick up where the story left off previously until it was complete. Then I started writing them down. A few months later, here I am, sharing my lack of sleep with all of you. Who said the stories in our heads can’t be fun for others?
I love Molly O’Hare. If you are looking for a book that will make you laugh but in the best of ways, this book is it. This story is sweet. It’s well developed. It’s beyond funny. This book is about celebrating being different. I loved how Molly handled this.
All the characters in this book are amazing. I love falling in love with a strong hero and an even stronger heroine. Molly did such an amazing job with this story that I fell in love with her all over again. I’ve missed reading a book that kept me on my toes through the whole thing. I can’t wait to see what’s next for this awesome author.
Booth Pena definitely didn’t make the smartest of decisions when he was a teenager.
At eighteen, he knocked a girl up and signed up for the military all in the same day—signing his life away in more ways than one. Fast forward six weeks and he’s in bootcamp learning that he’s going to be a father while also learning that not only is he going to be deployed, but it’s going to stay that way for a year.
There weren’t a lot of things that the baby’s mother and he saw eye to eye on after that. He honestly wasn’t sure why he even slept with her in the first place.
Okay, that last part is a lie. He knows exactly why he slept with her. Because the real woman he’s in love with, her twin sister, Dillan, won’t give him the time of day.
Five years later, and he still wants her.
Now he’s home for good, being the best father and police officer that he can be, and still he’s not good enough.
Dillan Davidsdottir hated Booth Pena. Immensely.
She hated him because he slept with her sister, then left. Granted, she knew that he hadn’t meant to leave like he did, unknowingly and unconsciously leaving his son behind, but that didn’t change the fact that he had.
Five years later, and she still dislikes him just as much now as she did when he chose the wrong sister to take to his bed.
Maybe if he’d chosen her, her heart wouldn’t be broken, and his wouldn’t be untouchable.
But when a SWAT officer sees his life flash before his eyes, and decides that enough is enough, what’s a girl to do?
Lani Lynn Vale is a Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling Author of over thirty titles. She is married with three children, two dogs, to cats, a donkey, and a couple (a couple meaning over twenty) chickens. She hails from the Great State of Texas. When she’s not writing, you can find her curled up in her favorite chair reading.
I love Booth and Dillan. These two were meant for each other years ago, but a series of events made that impossible or did it? Booth and Dillan could have had it all, but someone interfering changed the course of their lives. Now Booth has a baby with Dillan’s sister Delanie. Neither really remembers much about the night, but they wouldn’t trade Asa for the world. It’s time for Booth and Dillan to give life together a try.
I loved the love Booth had for Asa. I love how well he parented with Delanie. Most of all, I love how much he loved Dillan. I loved that Dillan was ready for Booth. I loved that they were able to form a relationship that was seamless.
I love LLV. I love all her books. I honestly cannot wait to see what’s to come with Delanie and Bourne. If it was half of what we got with Dillan and Booth…lookout. SWAT 2.0 has been amazing and I look forward to each new book.

“What took you two so long? Don’t worry, we saved you some cake.” Mr. Hans smiles from his recliner with Hunter on the sofa, her thumbs dancing along her phone screen. Gabe will get along well with her.
My steps falter when I hear Nate’s voice from the kitchen.
Mr. Hans winks at me. “I invited Nate for cake too.”
I nod slowly. “I see. Whose birthday is it?”
“Life is a celebration. Cake needs no excuse.”
So much for having some time to digest what Nate said to me and my flirty reaction to his kiss comment. I put on a neutral face and drag my timid ass into the kitchen.
“Cake, Gracelyn?” Nate glances up from the counter, a knife in one hand and a plate in his other hand.
“Mmm … yes, Gracelyn. You want cake.” Morgan rolls her eyes back in her head as she slowly chews a bite, standing next to Nate.
How am I supposed to look at him when I saw him barely an hour ago and he said he wanted to kiss me, and I returned the desire without the actual kiss? I guess we’re going to be two people who want to kiss but know that it will never happen.
“Thank you.” I take the cake, giving Nate a two-second glance. It’s all I can give him without completely self-combusting into a pile of ashes.
“Mr. Hans … this is so good.” Morgan traipses out of the kitchen.
“It is good. I haven’t had cake in a long time.” I slowly lick the frosting from the fork.
Nate glances at the floor, eyes narrowed, and hunches down. After a few seconds, I move around to his side of the island.
“Did you drop something?”
Hunched like a baseball catcher, gaze still to the floor, he crooks a finger at me.
I set my plate on the counter. “Did you lose a contact lens?” I squat next to him behind the counter.
He lifts his gaze to meet my squinted eyes. The corner of his mouth bends just as his hand slides behind my head and his lips press to mine.
What the hell?
My lungs freeze while my heart pauses and my mind explodes. There’s no tongue to this kiss, just hungry lips. It knocks me off balance, and I fall to my knees, resting my hands on his shoulders.
Nate pulls back half an inch, letting his lips hover next to mine, the warmth of his breath covering my stunned mouth. “I’m not even sorry.” He shrugs.
My mouth opens as if it wants to speak, but I have no idea what to say.
Nate bolts up, leaving me on my knees. “Yes?”
“Can Hunter use—” Morgan’s eyes narrow at me, my head barely peeking over the counter. “Gracelyn, what are you doing?”
“I’m …” I give her a tight smile.
Nate says, “Picking up a few crumbs.”
At the same time, I say, “Tying your dad’s shoe.”
His explanation is much better.
Morgan laughs. “Um … okay. You’re both acting weird.”
I climb to my feet.
“Can Hunter use what?” Nate asks.
“Your bike so we can go for a bike ride.”
“Are you going to stay around here?”
Morgan nods. “Pinky swear. We won’t go too far.”
“I’ll need to put the seat down for her.”
“Yes! Thanks, Dad. I’ll go tell her.” Morgan runs out of the kitchen.
Nate covers the cake with plastic wrap and nods to my plate with the half-eaten piece of cake. “Are you going to finish that?”
Cake. He wants to talk about the cake?
My head inches side to side.
“Too good to let it go to waste.” He picks up the plate and finishes my cake.
YOU KISSED ME!
“By the way …” His gaze remains on the plate as he scoops up the last bite. “Morgan knows I know how to tie my own shoes.”
Jewel is a free-spirited romance junkie with a quirky sense of humor.
With 10 years of flossing lectures under her belt, she took early retirement from her dental hygiene career to stay home with her three awesome boys and manage the family business.
After her best friend of nearly 30 years suggested a few books from the Contemporary Romance genre, Jewel was hooked. Devouring two and three books a week but still craving more, she decided to practice sustainable reading, AKA writing.
When she’s not donning her cape and saving the planet one tree at a time, she enjoys yoga with friends, good food with family, rock climbing with her kids, watching How I Met Your Mother reruns, and of course…heart-wrenching, tear-jerking, panty-scorching novels.
Talk about two people who aren’t looking for more, but find exactly what they need in each other. I loved Nate. I love the man he is. He’s had a hard life. But now things are looking up, which means new things to come for Nate. Gracelyn has been dealt a hand that she never asked for. Now she’s raising her nephew while trying to figure out what comes next for all of them. Getting away seems like a logical set.
I loved watching these two find what they need not only in each other but with each other. This book made me an emotional wreck. I kept wondering what was going to happen next. This book made me cry. It’s not often that happens with books, but this one, it did it. I hope you all will check out this amazing story. I promise you will not be disappointed.

5 STAR Review
Holy moly…I want to start by this book will leave you with more questions than answers. Daria and Striker were so back and forth at times that I wanted to beat them. Truth be told, I found myself wanting things to work out for them. I wanted them to find there happiness.
In all honesty this book is very well written. I’m new to Alana Walker, but I loved everything about this story and these characters. This book is a beautiful rollercoaster filled with ups and downs, mistakes, hurt, and misunderstanding. In the end it’s about love.

The Woods are Lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep and miles to go, before I sleep —Robert Frost
I was born in secrecy for a purpose nobody will tell me, only that I’m mafia royalty and should be protected. I promised to take the secret to my grave until I realized the very secret that could save her would damn her in the process.
She didn’t know it was me.
She didn’t know that I had no choice and would do it again and again to save her.
I may as well as have given her the mark on her finger.
The one that shows where her loyalty must lie.
Because we don’t sin in silence.
And eventually, you have to pay up what you owe.
My need to protect her turned into a lie to save her.
And when she found out—I turned in to the very monster I was trying to protect her from.
Watching Violet Abandonato walk out of my life was like a knife to the chest, a wound that refused to heal.
The bosses sent me to save her, thinking our friendship would bring her back.
But what they don’t know is that I was the one that destroyed her innocence.
We both carry scars.
But if all I can have is her hate for as long as I breathe.
I’ll take it.
Because at the end of the day, I should burn in Hell forever thinking Chase Abandonato’s perfect angel would pick me—over her perfect life.
“I broke you,” I confessed.
“The worst part… is that you liked it,” she snapped right back.
She wasn’t wrong.
Welcome to the second generation of the mafia, may the best man or woman, be left standing.
